What Can’t Go in a Dumpster? SouthCoast Rental Rules and Fees

Before filling a dumpster rental, check the accepted-item rules. Some materials are prohibited, while bulky items may require advance approval and separate handling fees. Confirm uncertain items with McKenzie Empire before loading.

Prohibited materials: keep these out

Propane tanks are not accepted. Do not place asbestos, hazardous chemicals, fuel, oil, liquid paint, batteries, medical waste, or other hazardous materials in the dumpster. If you are unsure about an item, ask before delivery rather than putting it in the load.

Special items need advance approval

Tell us the item type and quantity before delivery so we can confirm acceptance and handling. Current listed charges for approved items are:

• Mattresses and box springs: $75 each

• Passenger tires: $25 each

• Televisions: $65 each

• Refrigerators and similar appliances: $65 each

Dense materials may need a separate quote

Concrete, brick, dirt, and other dense materials can use up weight capacity quickly. They are not automatically included in the standard rental. Share the material and approximate amount so the quote can account for the disposal plan.

Know the rental terms before you load

• The 15-yard dumpster rental starts at $515 and includes up to one ton of approved debris for three days.

• Each additional day is $15.

• Weight above the included ton is $275 per ton, prorated from the disposal scale ticket.

• Delivery and pickup are included within 25 driving miles of Fall River; farther trips are quoted by address.
