What Can Fit in a 15-Yard Dumpster? A SouthCoast Project Guide
These photos are from actual jobs completed by McKenzie Empire. They show examples of household cleanout, renovation, demolition, and debris loading work. Every project is different, so what fits in a 15-yard dumpster depends on the material, volume, loading, and weight.
Think about both volume and weight
A 15-yard dumpster can be a practical option for many medium-sized cleanouts and renovation projects, but the right fit depends on the material and how it is loaded. Bulky furniture uses space quickly; dense debris can reach the weight allowance before the container looks full. Concrete, brick, soil, and similar heavy material need a separate quote.
Because every project is different, share photos or a clear item list when requesting an estimate. Do not rely on a generic truckload count to predict the final volume or weight.
Projects to discuss when requesting a quote
A garage, basement, attic, or room cleanout.
A small-to-medium home renovation with approved debris.
A shed or other small demolition cleanup, after confirming material and scope.
A household project where you want to load over several days.
Know the rental limits before filling it
The $515 starting price includes up to one ton and three days. Additional weight is $275 per ton over one ton, prorated from the disposal scale ticket; an additional day is $15. Mattresses, tires, TVs, and refrigerators require advance approval and separate charges. Propane tanks, paints, and oils are not accepted.
